Balancing Machine Calibration

Traceable, standards-compliant calibration for balancing machines, ours and other manufacturers', validated against ISO 21940-21. We calibrate horizontal and vertical, hard- and soft-bearing machines on site or remotely with live data capture, adjust where needed, and issue a full certificate with traceable records, or a corrective action plan if a machine cannot be certified.

What's included

What We Do on a Calibration Visit

Measured, adjusted, certified.

The result is confidence that every machine meets international accuracy requirements.

Every calibration

  • Validate the machine's accuracy against ISO 21940-21
  • Re-calibrate and adjust where needed
  • A full calibration certificate with traceable records
  • Live data capture, on-site or remotely
  • If a machine cannot be certified, a corrective action plan

Machines we calibrate

We support every balancing and test machine, ours and competitors'.

When to calibrate

  • At least once a year: ISO 21940-21 sets no fixed interval
  • After the machine is moved, rebuilt or crashed, or a sensor is changed

How it works

How Balancing Machine Calibration Works

From booking to certificate.

Tell us the make, model and location of the machine. We validate its accuracy against ISO 21940-21, on site or remotely with live data capture, re-calibrate and adjust where needed, and issue a full certificate with traceable records, or a corrective action plan if the machine can't be certified.

The standard

What ISO 21940-21 Checks

A measured figure, not opinion.

Accuracy is validated against ISO 21940-21, the standard that describes how a balancing machine is evaluated.

The two main tests are Umar (minimum achievable residual unbalance) and URR (unbalance reduction ratio).

Both tests use a proving rotor and known test masses.

Every calibration is traceable, with a full certificate and records.

On-site or remote

Calibration is carried out on-site or remotely, with live data capture.

Check a machine between calibrations

After a repair that touches the measuring system, see repair and breakdown support, or upgrade the measuring electronics on an older machine.

FAQ

Balancing Machine Calibration FAQs

Do you calibrate machines made by other manufacturers?

Yes. We calibrate balancing machines of any make.

What standard do you calibrate to?

Accuracy is validated against ISO 21940-21.

Do we get a certificate?

Yes. Every calibration comes with a full certificate and traceable records.

What happens if the machine fails?

We re-calibrate and adjust where needed. If the machine still cannot be certified, we supply a corrective action plan.

Can it be done without an engineer on site?

Yes. Calibration can be carried out remotely with live data capture.

How often should a balancing machine be calibrated?

ISO 21940-21 sets no fixed interval. Once a year is a sensible default, plus after a move, rebuild, crash or sensor change.
