Aircraft Wheel Balancers for Every Wheel, Tire and Brake

Aircraft wheels, tires and braking systems are typically balanced on vertical non-rotating balancing machines because they allow for ease of loading and measure very quickly. The machines can be equipped for spindle lock-outs for heavier components during loading which protect the machine and reduce settle time.

 

Typically aircraft wheel balancers are manually loaded and unloaded, without automation, however it is always possible to automate parts of the process.

 

Unbalance in aircraft tires are normally corrected by adhering rubber weights on the internal outside diameter of the tire. Aircraft brakes are usually corrected by adding special weights to the face.

 

For all types of aircraft wheels, simple manual tooling is used, consisting of a central cormer and interchangeable details per part type.
